Solitude is but a break for us to seek thy self, connect more deeply, and converse more intimately. It is an honour to work with the National Museum of History, embarking on this journey of solitude through the works of modern masters Sanyu, Ma Pai-sui and Lin Yu-shan. These artists were master observers during their times, who captured the overlooked, daily scenery down to its last detail, colour and brushstroke.
The concept behind the Reader’s Candle is to create a deeper connection between the artists and viewers through scent, the most powerful of the five senses. It celebrates a bond that transcends boundaries while serving as a daily reminder of the artist’s work. The candle also comes with an exclusive reading list inspired by the artist’s life story and inspirations.
