讀完阮麒霖（Daryl Qilin Yam) 的《Shantih Shantih Shantih》後，感覺令人難以言喻。 書名在梵文中意味著「內在的平安」 ，然而這書卻是用著末日的調子， 訴說在新加坡一個下雪的日子， 十二個人和他們的生活如何相互相連的故事。跟進他們走過這個雪日， 我們在片段與片段之間，見驗到他們的生活， 深深挖掘他們的愛與失、相遇與錯過， 驚鴻一瞥與困苦危難， 讓生命值得銘記的種種不完美。
阮氏創作的角色， 牽動我們共同作為人的本質， 啟發了我們， 創作了「Shantih Shantih Shantih」 香調香組合。調香， 是如此個人的創作， 這個組合將可讓讀者用自己獨特的香氣， 在裊裊間述說自己的故事。 同時我們請來香港藝術家何尚恩（Nicolas Ho），在結袋上為我們每個人故事繪上一幅憂鬱的禮讚。

生於長於新加坡的阮麒霖（Daryl Qilin Yam）是位詩人， 也是個散文家， 也曾創作「Kappa Quartet」 (2016) 和「Lovelier, Lonelier」(2021)兩部小說。他同時是個藝術策劃/製作人， 更聯合創辦 了文學慈善機構Sing Lit Station。
